Today, the Elite Leadership Club members from Sigang Junior High School participated in their fourth training workshop at Master Wang's Woodcarving Studio in Sigang District. They rode their bicycles to the studio and were escorted by Shu-min and Tony Coolidge and four other volunteers from the local community.

When they arrived, they were greeted by Mr. Wang and another instructor. They reminded the students of safety procedures, and then the students proceeded set up their pieces of wood in the lathe machines. The 8 teams created their own artwork, and this time, they learned how to make an acorn, using carving, sanding and polishing techniques.
The artwork will be on display at Sigang District Government Office and the Sigang Public Library. The students are very comfortable with the machines and techniques, and seem to enjoy the experience of creating works of art.
