今天是西港國中菁英領袖社團本學期的最後一次課程。最後一次看到這些孩子們覺得有點難過，因為九年級的學生已經在上個星期畢業了，所以參加這次課程的學生只有八位。他們們這次被兩台車載到佳里區的慈濟中心。
Today was the last session of the Elite Leadership Club from Sigang Junior High School. It was sad seeing the kids for the last time. There were only eight students, since the 9th graders graduated during the previous week. They were taken in two cars to Jiali District, where they were given a tour of the Tzu Chi Center.
學生們做了一次參訪，在那邊看見了一間慈濟經營的禮品店，他們訪問了這間節儉商店，裡面的商品都是用回收物做成的，並且所籌措到的資金都是用來做慈善的工作。學生們要利用這次的機會來做回收物的分解，把它們分解成塑膠類、紙類、金屬類。學生們通過一大堆被浸泡在醬油中的髒東西。顯然食品經銷商擺脫了這些過期不可銷售的庫存。
The students were given a tour and were shown the gift shop, where the products made by Tzu Chi are old. They visited the thrift store, where recycled items in good condition are sold to raise money for their charitable efforts. Then, they were given a chance to recycle garbage by separating them into plastics, paper, and metals. They went through a huge pile of dirty materials that were soaked in soy sauce. Apparently a food distributor got rid of their old, unsellable inventory.
當孩子完成之後，慈濟方面準備了一些飲料與餅乾來招待孩子們。他們都表達了新的學期還想要再參加菁英領袖社團！
After the kids were done, the were treated to tea and cookies. They all expressed how much they want to participate in the Leadership Club next year.
